Services to Medicine & Arms-length Activities

Back

Objectives

Clauses 18 and 19 of the Code should be simple. Companies can provide services, but the nature of those services cannot be an inducement to use a prescription medicine. Clause 20 (Joint Working) is a little more complex.

This one day course enables delegates to understand the correct way to interpret clauses 18, 19 and 20 in order to ensure the correct rules are applied to each activity. The group will explore the line that determines whether companies are responsible for the content of materials and activities they sponsor but do not actually commission. We will explore the checks that should be made on financial grants and the extent of responsibility compaies have for the services they provide.

During the day, delegates will work with materials and case examples related to commercial deals, patient support programmes, grants & donations, therapy review services, Joint Working and disclosure.

All in one day!
